Jewish Gulf Alliance
about the Jewish gulf alliance
The Jewish Gulf Alliance was established in 2017 to enable the renewed contact between Jews and the GCC countries to thrive. Although each country in the GCC has its own unique history, law and tradition with respect to Jews, a network of indigenous, expatriate, business and tourist Jewish populations has been formed.
The GCC states include the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, with particular abilities in the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The Alliance provides the following network services:
- a range of Jewish related services for people traveling in the Gulf
- advisement for procurement of kosher food
- directives on customs or other legal issues
With the establishment of New York University - Abu Dhabi, the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life has sought out Jewish resources through its initiative, Bronfman Global. Bronfman Global seeks to catalyze encounters between NYU students and local Jewish communities wherever they are studying. Bronfman Global is a proud supporter of the Jewish Gulf Alliance.
