Kristallnacht Commemoration

Kristallnacht Commemoration
Thursday, November 8, 2012 - 8:00pm

Kimmel Center, 905 / 907

Join the HillelNYU community in commemorating Kristallnacht, the "Night of Broken Glass."

On November 9–10, 1938, the Nazis staged vicious pogroms against the Jewish community of Germany and Austria. These came to be known as the “Night of Broken Glass”, a reference to the untold numbers of broken windows of synagogues, Jewish-owned stores, community centers, and homes plundered and destroyed during the pogroms.

We will have the privilege of hearing from Professor David Engel, a renowned lecturer, expert on the Holocaust and favorite among NYU students.
