Temple Beth Ahm, a conservative synagogue with an active youth program, located in Aberdeen, NJ has great opportunities for TWO dynamic Youth Advisors. In these rewarding roles, the Youth Advisors will serve as a mentor, as well as plan, publicize and supervise programming for Kadima (Temple Youth group for 6th-8th graders) and USY (United Synagogue Youth- for high school students). Responsibilities for the Youth Advisors include:

Generate creative ideas for programming that will engage youth members Promote programs within the temple community Encourage participation in Regional events Provide direction and leadership. Mentor and guide USY board members in development of leadership skills. Reinforce Jewish principles and values to the youth, including Tikun Olam and community service.

Candidates must have experience supervising youth and planning youth programming. Education experience or former participation in USY is a plus. Must be able to work Sundays, weeknights and occasionally Saturday evenings. Must be able to work within the framework of Conservative Judaism. College grad preferred.
