Looking for Office Manager for Masorti Olami’s NY Office

Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours per week); 8:00am-1:00pm Monday-Thursday
Start Date: Immediately

The World Council of Conservative/ Masorti Synagogues (Masorti Olami) builds, renews and strengthens Jewish life throughout the world, with efforts that focus on existing and developing communities in Europe, Latin America, the Former Soviet Union, Africa, Asia and Australia. We conduct our activities within the context of the overall Conservative/Masorti movement, in close cooperation with our partner and affiliated organizations in North America and Israel.

Job Summary: Masorti Olami is headquartered in Jerusalem and has a small New York office which is comprised of just one individual. This person is in contact with the Israel office on a daily basis and answers directly to the Executive Director of Masorti Olami while working closely with the staff in Israel. The Office Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the office including managing the finances, online database (Salesforce), assisting in occasional event planning, and liaising on an ongoing basis between the organization and its donors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Processing all incoming donations
- Processing all office payments
- Maintaining cash journal
- Monitoring activity on the bank account
- Creating monthly financial reports
- Maintaining the online financial and donor database (CRM) 
- Managing supplies needed for the office
- Point person in planning annual fund raising event (with peak hours during the months of November/December for Annual Tribute Event)
- Handling inquiries from donors
- Processing large mailings
- Making travel arrangements for staff and guests
- Participating in staff meetings and recording minutes of board meetings
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with online CRM (i.e. Salesforce)
- Self-motivated and able to work well alone
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to occasionally telecommute
- Ability to multitask
- Familiarity with Masorti/Conservative Movement (Preferred)
