Travel : Birthright Trips

About the Program
Join your NYU classmates over Winter Break for a trip of a lifetime. If you're Jewish, age 18-22, and have never been on a peer-group trip to Israel, our trip, through our partnership with trip provider Hillel, offers the best way for you to have the time of your life in Israel - for free!
Read more about Taglit-Birthright Israel: Hillel trips here. This ten-day trip is a gift from Taglit-Birthright Israel.
We estimate that our trip will depart on or around June 2nd.

FAQ
Am I eligible?
The program is open to any Jewish person between the ages of 18-26, who has not been on a peer-group trip to Israel, and who has not lived in Israel past the age of 12. You also must be currently enrolled as a student at NYU or one of the other schools that the Bronfman Center serves (Cooper Union, New School, FIT, Parsons, School of Visual Art).
How many spots are there? What are my chances of being accepted?
The number of available spots vary every season, and because this is a popular opportunity there is always a long waitlist for every Taglit-Birthright Israel trip (whether you go with NYU or another provider).
Registering for our summer trip means that you will hopefully get on a trip this summer, and that if you don’t, you will definitely get on a trip within the next few rounds!
How much does it cost?
The trip is free! Okay, what does that mean, right? The flight, the accomodations, the activities, and two meals a day--all covered. You would be responsible to pay for about one meal a day, and of course for any shopping or souvenirs.
We also highly encourage trip participants to bring some money that goes towards tips as well as snacks for the bus.
But yes, the trip is pretty much completely free!
